In Response To: strip width? (Paul Sigmon)

When I built my expedition single I used half strips anytime I had both a bend and a twist of any significance, which is often in the hull from the sheer up through the chine. By using them I got a better glue joint and the strips stayed closer to the forms. When you really have to force the strips you loose any advantage of a wider strip (if there really is any) due to poorer glue joints between the wood.
