The 2 minute cure

I recently tried the "Rapid Cure" epoxy that MAS sells. In the past I have tried various "5 Minute " epoxies with dissapointing results. This week I was getting my latest stripper ready for glassing and had a few seams to fill and a couple of slivers to glue in place. Usually that means waiting for the epoxy to kick and than sanding which might eat up a day waiting for the epoxy to be hard enough to sand. This MAS stuff is almost to fast. You mix it and have to apply it within a minute or 2 or it is hard. I would then give it a "bump" with a heat gun and could sand within 10 minutes. It turned out to be a great time saver. MAS claims that it is waterproof, machinable and it's strength characteistics rival more conventional epoxies. The price is high, but for those small things that you don't want to wait for, it is great.
