> Paul Paul, I wish this board was around when I started. Measure twice,thrice,..cut once. When it comes to glueing,measure more, I found using lots of masking tape helped to make fillets a little neater,lots of paper towels helped to keep from leaving epoxy finger prints all over the house, lots of latex gloves for the same. I think one of the easiest pitfalls is, if a little is good - more is better. When I made my first kit boat I used up all the epoxy and had to get more. A 45 lb. boat became a 55 lb. Merrimac. At least I didn't mind rough landings or sitting on the driveway! Suffice to say that 4mm plywood sheathed with 6 oz glass is very tough stuff. Have fun
