Working on my second and already thinking forward to my third. For about the cost of one commercial Greenland style paddle I can make about 10-15, custom fit them to me and have several *types* for different paddling conditions. Maybe even give away a few as thanks for teaching me something new...or trade for gear. A lot of potential!

I'm interested on hearing about various lamination patterns that folks have tried for a greenland style paddle. I'm thinking of making my next "2x4" with a cedar center and a hardwood exterior.

Someone with real power tools (I'm power tool challenged) could make some really interesting laminated patterns.
