> Frank West Marine has a compass I've liked. It works well on the kayak and for a hand held also. Sportabout compass by Ritch#X-11, Model 184855, $23.99. West's number is 1-800-262-8464. They have also had good emergency gear (beacons, lights, etc. cheaper but good quality) than most other catelogs and companies I have access too.
