In Response To: Sanding a Chesapeake hull (John Stys)

Hi. Thanks for all the advice...using slightly stronger sandpaper with my orbital sander is working nicely. I was a little nervous about starting the sanding job and therefore started out with 100-150. The 80 works a lot better for the first few passes.

A few of you have mentioned that cabinet scrapers work well. Pardon my ignorance, but I can't seem to visualize what a cabinet scraper is. Are they similar to paint scrapers??
