Mike;
Something is wrong here. Isn't your brother suppose to be building his own boat and paddle with your help (guidance)?
So what's up with that?
Curt can't be like my brother who is clueless when it comes to tools and construction (and my brother works for a lumberyard and gives advise all day, but I do get really good discounts from him).
Jason
: Curt,
: Congrat's on your first solo trip. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I wish I'd gone
: out yesterday, but a neighbor tore down his RED CEDAR fence, so I was out
: gathering FREE kayak building materials. Maybe I can do a modified strip
: version of your kayak.: It sounds like your launching and landing skills are improving, especially
: with your 6'3" frame and that small cockpit opening.: It is more than stamina that you need to work on, paddling technique will
: greatly improve your ability too maintain higher speeds for a longer time,
: plus that heavy paddle you're using doesn't help. I know, the paddle I'm
: building for you will be done some day.: We'll have to get together on some blustery days to do some more wave work, I
: love paddling in the rough stuff.: If you bring the kayak back down to my place, I'll build you a custome cart,
: It should only take me about 4 months. I'll need some time to test it and
: get any bugs worked out. ;-): I'm glad you had a good time. I'll see you on the water this weekend.
: Mike
