Wow, great perserverence Jack,
Any second thoughts, lessons on how to get out?? Did getting in such good shape help your stamina??( I remember your 26# post)
(But here's my opposite story
- there I was, alone on the opposite side of the continent, inland rather than seaside, river rather than ocean, surfing on stationary waves rather than moving, closer in size to 10in rather than 10ft, laughing in leisure rather than pushing the max and yet I bet both of us having a hoot.
- the funniest thing with my experience was that there was quite a wind blowing upstream and above me was a solitary hawk surfing, wings motionless, in the air. And me, alone and nose to nose with him, yet 100ft below, was pointed in exactly the opposite direction and yet doing the same thing. Quite wierd.)
Anyway, are you going again?? Would any of your yaks worked better? Did the sot have skegs?
