Lake Jocassee on Oct 16-19 MAKE PLANS!!

Hey everyone, It's time to start asking for time off of work for the Tampa Bay Sea Kayakers annual trip to GORGEOUS Lake Jocassee in the Cherokee Foothills in SouthCarolina. Last year was awesome and we hope this year to be even better. I would like to see Devil's Fork full of sea kayakers for this one. Last year was made up of only locals here in Tampa Bay but it was so cool that I could spark some national interest. As for the paddling, we plan on spending (3) days covering as much of the lake as possible. We'll put in 15-20 miles a day while base camping at Devil's Fork State Park. The lake is Huge, to say the least. With crystal clear water, countless waterfalls, beautiful trails and total abscense from civilization, this is for sure a trip that no one can miss. There is no charge to Tampa Bay Sea Kayakers, however you must provide your own accomidations. We camp for $7.50 a night (If I remember correctly)and bring food, water is plentiful.
