There are many books on the QC's and B.C.Parks put out some good brochures. Weather conditions should be much the same as the West Coast of Vancouver Island. I have heard that there are some great surfing areas to play in or watch out for depending.
My only suggestion wouldbe to go in August or September as this is the time most likely to experience good conditions.
