I don't recall. I think he did. Something minimal. He complained of his feet being cold too I think. It didn't click why he used his teeth on the paddle float snap until he explained it later.

He also said he was worried about knocking his knee braces loose with the paddle float reentry, which was causing him to try and turn around before getting his butt over the seat. He said if it were the real deal he would have sacrificed the braces and got back in. Not much room in that pintail so I think he would have had problems if the knee braces didn't break free.
