Scorpion!!!

Hello to all,

I was laying in the grass the other day enjoying a nice little rest from paddling, when I saw something moving right by my head. It was a tiny little creature that strikes fear into the hearts of grown men... a scorpion!!! It was a small one, very pale in color, with an unusually long tail. I have never been stung by a scorpion, and I toyed with the thought of letting him sting me, just to find out what it feels like. Yeah, I know... curiosity killed the cat!!! Well, I know that there are scorpions that can kill you, though they are very rare. I saw a show about them. Interesting little creatures. They actually froze one for a number of days (can't remember how long) and then used a blow torch to thaw the little sucker out and he sprung back to life. I didn't let this one sting me just in case he happened to be some rare species that has yet to sting a person, and yet to be discovered as a fatal variety!!! I later checked the web and according to the sites I researched, there are no fatal varieties here.... BUT... then again, has there ever been a person found mysteriously dead without a clue??? Perhaps they were stung by a scorpion, and nobody has yet discovered it!!!

My question is this... has anyone ever been stung by one, and is it basically like a wasp sting??? Just curious.
