If you are hopelessly committed and ready to leap fully into the chasm of Greenland-style techniques, then consider a traditional tuiliq. I have the Brooks garment and the full hood keeps your neck and head toasty warm. This is the same suit that Maligiaq Padilla and many of the Greenlanders train with. The air trapped in the suit also adds buoyancy that makes some of the maneuvers easier to perform. The suit is large enough that you can wear it over a drysuit or your PFD if necessary.
Prepare yourself for some relentless ribbing from your friends if you go this route. With the hood on you look like a seal and with the hood down you look like a priest!
The attached URL has links to the Sea Kayaker article on the tuiliq and a link to the Brooks web page.
Best Regards,
Greg Stamer
