Woody,

I enjoyed your Baltimore harbor log quite a bit. You know it rases a question tho which i ve not seen addressed beforte regarding kayaks. The limping man who said he paddled at night...

Why do you suppose apparently NO kind of lights are offered for kayaks. They neednt be big, infact some look downright sporty. Mind you I mean safety lights, not headlights or anysuch thing. With todays lightweight waterproof cells, the safety lights wouldnt make much more weight and theyd last a good 4 hours or more. Another point is that theyd not be seen in any obtrusive way from the cockpit when shining. Seems like a good safety item for night and fog. Crossing a bay at night tho without it, with traffic.... sounds perilous to say the least.
