went for a celebratory paddle with a friend for her 46 birthday, planning on making it a regular-get fit-steady-three hour paddle. Heading up from Annapolis to the Severn we didn't notice the gentle 5knot breeze from behind. I'm not one for names or navigation markers but once we rounded a little island up the river ,(these chesapeake folks call mile wide inlets off the chesapeake rivers)it was time to turn around. It's 11am been paddling for 2 1/2 hrs. already.

Bring on the turkey! 5 hrs paddling and I'm primed for turkey day. Funny how when the energy reserves get used and fat is being metabolized all the nuances of ones kayak become motivation for THE NEXT KAYAK.
