Thank you Robert - Your description was grand. Makes me really miss the east coast. In 6 hours I'll be trying out my new K-Light but won't have the fabulous variety of scenery you encountered. I'll be in Marina Del Rey (by LA, CA) looking up at the bottoms of yachts and trying to avoid being run down. Since tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday and expected to be gray & possibly drizzly, it might be okay. I'm a newer paddler so I hate to leave the harbor without a partner. If anyone wants to paddle this am, email me. I'll check before I leave. Am open to Newport but that is a longer drive. Oxnard, Ventura or Lake Casitas is ok too. Alice
