You know, at this point, I'm still gathering tools and materials for the Exp. Singl. - I havent evenb bought the plans yet. Still, as presumptutious or premature as it sounds, I am hoping to build a guillemot with pontoons in order to make it a trimaran - very much like the Triak. Because it will have to have unusual modifications, like a drop keel and such, Im counting on my experience with the Exp. Single to pave the way for that. Again, this is a distant - distant goal. Incidentaly, I wouldnt want to modify the one Im about to embark on as I want it to be a kayak in the most pure sense.
Triak claims top speeds of 15 to 20 mph. I read somebody just finished circumnavigating Cuba with it too. It seems like a fantastic "variation" on kayaking, but apparently it receives a cold response at these boards.
