I think figuring out how to survive comfortwise would be a doable challenge. Just don't think this is the kind of thing one would do without extensive rescue skills and preparation although I've known a few very fit people doing something similar,they wouldn't have survived if they were out of their boats though.

I like the idea of camping off the north coast of CA and paddling out after breakfast, 1 mile at the most.
