Come on up next summer and visit me. We regularly see and often get close to orcas and humpbacks. This summer I saw both those and a Sei whale all on the same day. This is some of the most spectacular scenery in the world for paddling. Several years ago on trip through Prince William sound, we had humpbacks feeding around us for about an hour and the next day had orcas go directly under the kayak.

Air temps are getting below freezing now so only one more trip out and my Chesapeake 18 goes into the garage for the winter.

Will be glad to be an info or resource person for anyone contemplating an Alaska paddle trip.
