Hi Pete,

Meant to do another post soon after my last one but forgot. I found this story on the Net last year or the year before and had forgotten about it. When the shark fears were mentioned I suddenly remembered it.

The fact that you didn't catch on right away was a delight. My father does this to me all the time because usually when we talk it is pretty serious stuff, so it is pretty easy for him to catch me napping!

Last April he started telling me how the government was going to change the language to reflect the fact that Canada had long ago switched to the metric system. As part of this they had sent out a letter telling the owners of a resort called Six Mile Guest Ranch that they had to change the name to Ten Kilometer Guest Ranch! I of course became quite indignant and started a rant on bureaucratic idiocy!! If he could keep a straight face better he probably could have kept me going for a very long time.

I don't know if this is a reflection of my gullibility or a sad statement on my expected performance of government??

Oh, well! He'll no doubt get me again this year! LOL
