think i should paddle more,,,,i'm using up what few stories i have,,,,woody's got me going with his 500miles.

So any way 3yrs ago paddling with folks from BASK down by Monterey, we head out doing some tourist paddling past the marina with all the sea lions that have taken over the docks. "Looky,looky so cute,, they're making all that noise at us,,,ha , ha ,,,hey a few are paddling out at us,,,wow that's cool,,, gee they're getting closer,,,,,one of them's kind of big,,,,I'm at the back straightening something out,,,,,this feeels like when you're a kid and you ride past the neighbor with the dog and you're the last kid in the pack,,,,geez , he's picking up speed and pushing one hell of a bow wave,,, maybe I should just paddle,,,hey everybody wait up,,,,oh shit,,,,clunk. they're gone" sound like a hammer hitting the stern endpour. later at the beack i look back there and there's this little nick in the gelcoat. mostly i remember his bow wave pushing in front.
