That's one big crossing - No, I think I'll let the motorized ferry take me over - lol. Now if I were going with a team - things might be different. But this is (as of this point) a solo trip. Besides which, I'd like a longer better boat to go over that large stretch of open. My current boat - (due to very limited funding) isn't really eevn meant for what i use it for but I've learned to make it do what i want despite it's relative slowness, shortness. I'm in a Wilderness Systems - Cape Lookout 14.5. If I had the cash - I'd by in a totally different boat liek a looksha or something. - Then open water crossings would be pulling at me like a quest for gold - lol
