Ah but isn't it valor that people appreciate more? You can be certain that I won't be running any kind of rapid any time soon. The Boreal Confluence guys are GPS marking every water hazzard they encounter and will send me the locations after they have finished their trip. Incidently, Sebastien called me the other day to say that they had made it to North Battleford, Saskatchewan. THey are behind schedule by roughly two weeks but on course (hard to get lost on a river) and eager to make it a good run. Those guys are gonna make it all the way, I know it. They have been heavily encumbered along the way with Canadians trying to stuff breakfast into their mouths in exchange for stories about the river, so they may end the trip somewhat heavier. I hope they don't gain too much weight or they may just NEED to heave a man overboard to stay afloat.
: It's normal to suddenly be efficient in caloric intake, it's healthy for us
: to be working hard.My wife suggested that all the years of running made my body an efficient burner of calories. Probably so! Perhaps that means I can extend my independant travel range by another two weeks making my independant kayaking range 45 days instead of 30. Where can I paddle that would allow me 45 days of uninterrupted paddling pleasure?
