Frank, it's not too difficult to do such a trip. There is a lot of thinking just to ensure that all the saffety angles have been covered. For the most part both sides of the river are surrounded by farms so help is never far away, at least until I get into the more northerly climes. I'm really really looking forward to doing the next leg of my trip which will see me paddle the rest of the way to Hudson Bay. That's the part where I'll need two rolls of film per day instead of just one. 
I just can't wait. That's the time when I'll also finally get to do some big water paddling. I'll ahve to try and get some experience onthe bigger water before the trip next year but I'm sure I will adapt as needed. Should be interesting.
