My pleasure to do so...better to share some info and experiences then everyone having to reinvent the wheel. Each have their own needs, being fully informed helps in that decision.

An important point if you do look at Pocket Pumps: the older "t" handles have been replaced with a new palm pad unit. Katadyn sent us the new handle and exit tube components, directions and a maintenace kit for free after we bought and registered on-line the Pur 80E water machine. I only mentioned that we wanted to retrofit the Pocket Pump. Even more, in the letter with the package, we were told that the ball bearings and O-rings are commonelyt avaliable everywhere and not from Katadyn. Impressive support to say the least.
