we had a full moon paddle Friday night with 20,countem 20 elementary school teachers meandering at sunset out Harness Creek onto the edge of South River to Logans Pond, Mostly sit on top Ocean Kayak doubles. Some folks were quiet, but it was kind of like going to the museum with 20 third graders, bumper boats galore, and joy of life energy. We manage to make less than two miles of paddling last 2 hrs, snacks,silly conversation, general glad to be floating around the great herons and full moon. Some going south sailboats were anchored in the creek, little lights and kerosene lamps glowing, many other sail boat folk were anchored for the night enjoying autumn evenings. My night vision is getting pretty bad so I get extra fun paddling in the dark (next to shore, not in navigable waters) wondering if I'm about to get poked by a low branch. Maybe in 20yrs I'll be paddling with "night" glasses
