The higher-end synthetics have come along way in regard to stuffability and weight. Although a drybag will keep your bag dry in the boat, the rain (either through the tent, or from wet gear) is usually the worst culprit in getting a bag wet. Out in the Northwest, rain can be expected on most trips and a warm bag (even if damp) is much better than soggy down.
