> complicated 8^)It wouldn't have been _only_ the wetsuit bottoms--I wear them with my drytop, which I was wearing--I was well-protected for paddling and rolling, but if I were to take an inadvertent swim, my legs and important parts would get cold.
I wear shorts whenever the water is warm enough I'd consider swimming in it for an hour or so. Wetsuit and drysuit can be somewhat interchangeable, although you can wear just a pair of farmer johns for moderately warm water/weather. I'd say wear the wetsuit whenever the water is below 70*F. Is your drysuit Goretex? If not, you'll probably only want to wear it when the air temperature is at or below 50-55*.
