Lake Powell is on my to-do list, Scott. Mike informed me of how beautiful that lake is. I was actually at little pained while I was visiting you years ago, knowing that I was so darned close to Lake Powell and not having the time to get over there. I will get there one impulsive time, prolly when Linda has had enough of winter here and wants to run with the kayaks as far south as she can get in a car. All that said, I am excited that soon the weather will be frightful cold...I aim to set a record for paddling in cold weather this year. My record stands at -8 C. Water froze on the deck so much that I had to bang it off with my paddle to keep from getting top-heavy. Folks think I am nuts here...they just don't know what they are missing. I have always wanted to paddle in -20-30 C weather...that could be interesting...I think that translates to 0 F.
