Not to mention a handheld VHF, and a good air horn with a backup manual horn. Constantly report your position on the VHF and sound the horn every 2 minutes with a morse "D" which is "-.."

Down here they run over kayaks in broad daylight. I'd hate to be stuck out there in fog.
