Hello all,
I'm looking for all sorts of advise on a trip i plan on making from D.C. to Florida with my dog. I plan on leaving sometime in september. i have a kayak that my wounderful employers at River and Trails had let me borrow but, i have never spent more than 5 hours in a kayak before. i have been hiking the appalachian trail most of the summer and have most of the essentail gear for the trip, but what i really need are some DO'S and DONT'S while we are on the water. books i should and shouldn't read, people i should or shouldn't talk with, and eqipment i need or don't really need???? Also if anyone is interested in going with us? Rocco and i are laid back but not slackers and we are friendly and open- minded ... if anyone has any advice, answers, or questions please write back..
