after many miles of driving, I (dad), jennifer (#1 daughter),kaitlyn(#2 daughter) have made it back to a keyboard to report on our short visit to John's Bay and a paddle about Round Pond (Muscungous bay). the water was fine (#1 says frigid) . lobster buoys everywhere. the people are kindly. #2 and dad dashed and splashed. We considered a 2 mile crossing but instead enjoyed a 1 mile meander. spectacular is an apt term for the views. I now understand why Maine is a mecca for kayaking.
