>Woody it was a treat to see you two show up. Your trip reports are 90% of the work to making an excellent guide book. Your observation about my invisible kayak and our stealth paddles are well taken. With a dark shoreline of trees, black plastic blades are invisible. The thing that always surprises me is that even when I'm using a bright yellow Werner paddle or my Lightning with reflective tape that the blades still aren't noticable on edge. I'm entertaining the idea of a 1" strip of SOLAS tape along the entire length of the shear below the rubrail, too disco?. Looks like bright yellow, red, are the colors for boats, pfd, and especially hats. Maybe some garish flourescent yellow/green for the back of the rental paddles would be a good idea.
