Voyageurs National Park info please

Can anyone give me some information on kayaking the Voyageurs National in northern Minnesota? I have checked the website and downloaded their information. What I need now is the kayaker's veiwpoint. Is it crowded with power boats? Are the campsites and landings OK for kayakers? Is this a good place for kayakers with reasonable experience with compass and map work, and intermediate paddling skills (Georgian Bay islands for instance). Thanks,
