Bob, I think we spoke via email. There is lots of good kayaking within two hours of here. The Columbia River has a lot of sloughs and a huge wildlife reserve by Astoria. The Willamette goes right through downtown and it is real nice. Then there are several bays on the coast that are an easy day trip. There are also several reservoirs to explore. That is not even going out through the surf, as I havent been yet. Let me know when you get to town, we'll see if we can coordinate a trip or two.
