I think you guys are confused here...I think he is referring to Pleasant Bay not Great Bay. There is easy access to little pleasant bay on the road from Harwich to Orleans and usually you can park right next to the beach. from there you can paddle toward Orleans or towards Harwich/Chatham. There is plenty of water and its deeper than you need to think about.
If you put in near Chatham you can paddle out to Monomoy Island or South Beach but that is not a protected an area as Pleasand Bay. good luck, addisongood luck, addison
