: Rich,
: Thanks for the info. I know where your talking about - and I'd like to check
: it out. I'll be staying in Eastham but its just a short hop from there.
: Another place I want to check out is the bay area [if you can call it
: that] just East of Chatham. Its about 10 miles deep or so of little coves,
: islets and the like. To follow it out one would eventually hit Monomoy
: Island. My rather limited skills at this point are keeping me away from
: open ocean for now. The upshot here is, have you been there as well? So
: tough to tell from a map wether its miles of water 6" deep, marsh, or
: infact quite deep.: Again thanks!
: Pete
I've been in that bay, I thinks it's called Great Bay? Canoed the length of it nad back on the tide. It's quite a nice place to paddle and relatively sheltered. There was a guided tour that was going in there with beginners. The problem I ran into was when parking at the little town boat launches (abt the only and best access, there's a couple) you want to check for the high tide line. Found parking lot completely floods at high, had to have been under 1.5-2 ft of water.
