I've been vacationing in Wellfleet for many years now. An enjoyable paddle can be had by going out to Wellfleet - park at Mayo beach at Wellfleet harbor. You can go across the harbor to Great Island and along it to the end - Jeremy Point. Jeremy point is accessible only by boat or foot (a 4-5 mile walk) and basically consists of a long, narrow strip of beach separating the harbor from the bay.

This is an easy paddle (unless the wind is strong, the waves in the harbor are easy to handle) and quite relaxing.
