kayak rental - Portland, Maine

I will be on Peaks Island off of Portland for a week in mid-September and looking for a kayak to rent for a few days. I am familiar with Maine Island Kayak Co. there but I don't think they rent boats - just lessons and tours. Anyone know where I could pick up a rental within an hour of Portland?
