evening paddles

We are back to the time of year with longer daylight and time to paddle in the evenings. The rivers here (Modesto, Ca.) are down enough to get on and away from the lakes. This evening's paddle highlights were numerous wood ducks, plenty of mallards, and a great big beaver, head like a shoe box and a tail the size of my cockpit opening! Keep the rack on the car and the boat/gear ready and join me paddling local water several times a week. Post your experiences here. Anyone who wants to paddle arround Modesto just e-mail me.
