I'm hoping for a 3 or 4 day trip this summer, but I haven't figured out where yet. If we make our customary trip to Florida (home for the wife and I) then you can bet a paddle with the gators is in order. Vacation is in Gatlinburg Tenn this year but I think there is nothing but whitewater around that area.
Any suggestions for something within a couple of hours of northern Virginia? No "deliverance" paddles planned yet. I've been eyeing a trip to Calvert Cliffs on the Chesapeake, again after the weather warms. Hardly "boonie" catagory though.
