Trips in Ontario Canada

Basically I'm looking to paddle for three weeks this summer in Ontario, Canada. It doesn't have to be all at once and I prefer warm weather, so sometime between May and September best suits my schedule. I'm considering paddling the Trent Severn Waterway, I've also heard that Georgian Bay in the 30,000 islands area is a good spot with free camping on government islands. I'd prefer to avoid "campsites", I don't want to spend money to sleep on the ground next to a family of 6 in their RV. Also important is my skill level. I've owned a Kayak for two years but it's a sluggish poly hybrid and I've just puttered around the cottage. For this trip I am building a Chesapeake 17 or 18. I'd prefer flat water where I'm not endangering myself or my soon to be built new boat.
Cheers, Dan
