I took a trip down there 3 years ago, we didn't kayak but we want to go back this year before all the coral reefs are gone. One place that is a must see are the coral reefs. They are off the southern most tip of the Keys. We went snorkling and diving off a boat. What is cool is that they have buoys around the corel reefs that you could tie your kayak up to and then jump out to go snorkling, it is beautiful and the only reefs in the Continental U.S. The only thing is that you will have to paddle a few miles to get to it, but it will be well worth it!
