I am an experienced sea kayaker with 30 years experience (flat water raced in high school and college), although mostly on rivers, bays and other protected waters. I live in the Chicago area, and am active in the Water Trails project, building a continuous water trail from Chicago to the Mississippi River. I often kayak on Lake Michigan, and the Chicago River and Skokie Lagoons (very spooky and beautiful).
My out of country trips include the Baja of Mexico and Belize.
I am interested in hearing about other people's experiences kayaking in US and world-wide locations.
