Why so seasonal?

When the paddling gets really good, there's no interest. Looking at this board it seems that folks just STOP paddling in the winter. In the Pacific Northwest sea kayaking effectively stops. I love skiing, but I'd sure encourage folks to paddle in the off season. Quiet, no bugs, fun water conditions. Do so safely though. Have a great winter.
