I really hurt my back yesterday lifting my 25# race boat. It is a 21 ft west side race boat that came with no bulkheads so I put one in the rear with a 2 inch drain plug. But nothing but dry bags in front. And by the way his velcro thigh straps remind me off the seat belts in some wwhitewater boats. They are terrible so I added plastic thigh braces so my knees can grab unto some thing. I should have added a front bulkhead because after paddling there was some water in the boat and as I picked it up- the water slid forward and hit the front of the boat hard enough for me to really strain to lift the boat, like lifting shovel by the end and trying to hold it straight out. He builds great boats the lack of bulkheads is a safety issue. It will have a front bulkhead to make it easier to carry. Otherwise water shoots from one to the other like a tanker with no baffles.
