Modified Paddle leash Rescue

Assuming paddle float harness compromised or missing.
Say one had a typical 36in long paddle leash that attached near the root of the rt. paddle blade and connected, clipped or knobbed underneath an adjacent rt side deck line(similar to those mentioned by others). Say the leash from the deck clip end extended about 18 in longer (rather than the 4-6inches in some of my other ideas) and had a 6in loop thru 3in of garden hose in the far end. Sorta looks like a stirrup(could act as a knob).
After I dump, attach the paddle float, get on the rt of the yak and depending on my prejudices of the time either roll the yak away from me or loop the free end of the paddle over(it actually would take a little manouvering). Lift the 18in end w/ the stirrup over the shaft and step in the stirrup. Sprooing!!, as soon as I step in, the leash cinches around the yak, the deck line either is disengaged or keeps the paddle in place. From this position (whether yak is upright or upside down) I can get/keep my core reasonably out of the water - hold leash wrap w/ hand or keep one leg in stirrup. For the recovery, I have to have pushed the deck leash location to around behind the cockpit first, and after stepping in the stirrup, mount the yak in the usual way keeping a hand around the leash wrap as much as possible.
I think this one is worth trying. Assuming it works(of course!), there are now - in addition to the roll, reentry roll and harnessed paddle float approaches - a whole range of pfd park and paddle leash rescues or recoveries that I (and maybe you) can attempt when the chips get down.
There are some other real minimals that I'm thinking abt but they're pretty stupid - I'll test them out first before yapping.
