: ----------------------------------Just don't drown anyone screwing around like this. It only takes a tiny amount of water - an amount easily picked up by tubes like this - from either end. How's your CPR? Your insurance?
I know you think you are helping people with this, but you are putting others at risk - and delaying their rolling progress with this diversion. Keeping things safe and simple is what gets people rolling sooner.
I understand it works for you. I could make it work too. That's irrelevant.
Rather than teaching people to use these tubes in their kayaks - why not just help them learn to roll? I can roll up a lot faster and more reliably than I can get get the tube in and be sure it's cleared before inhaling. A spotter is a 1000x safer and more effective learning aid (they need not be able to roll - but that helps too).
