i can only guess that you are reading this months and months AFTER the fact because you are somehow involved or know directly those involved? you said that you'd trust him "...whole heartedly with the welfare of my child" and since that would only come with personal knowledge, could understand your reactions based upon that.

folks often rush to judgement without knowing all the facts...folks sometimes fill in holes and gaps with intuition based on experience at best, or at worst, just idle conjecture....it's not entirely fair and certainly not objective but nevertheless, it's human nature. probably isn't done out of spite or malice.

probably, all would probably agree that the burden of that day would be pretty horrific all the way around.
