Likewise - my resentment was not directed at you, but at the registration
process which is wholly outside your control.

Our paddling club uses a mailing list system (topica) which has a similarly
irritating sign-up process (which also doesn't work well with some standards compliant browsers). Not only that, but mails on the more heavily trafficed
lists get stupendously irrelevant advertising inserted, which means we all
have to filter the mail through a perl script which carefully removes it
again. What a waste of everyone's effort !! But we live with it because
it is more reliable than using a machine on the end of a phone line (my
server was down for a couple of days while we were on holiday, 'cos we
had a two day power-outage).
